A quick video from ozmodchips.com on how easy it is to hack your PSP! Pandoras battery can also be used as an unbricker. All you need to do is place a memory stick with hacked firmware on a produo – place the pandoras battery in your PSP, and away you go.
Pros: Large screen for viewing pleasure, music, photos, videos, games, WIFI for multiplayer gaming, sending picture to another PSP or surf the web, good sound quality from the built-in speakers
Cons: Watching videos can be expensive(Due to lack of internal memory), videos must be converted into MPEG4 format in order to watch, bulky, easy to leave your fingerprints on the large screen(unless you have a screen protecter), battery life is only maximum 4.5 hours, not really a prefect choice of multimedia device…
However, it’s still great!!!
My rating 8/10
PS:This is PSP fat, not the Slim!!!
This is kind of a continuation to my Ultimate Easy Pandora video. The PSP was left in 3.71 M33, so I wanted to show how to get your PSP updated after Pandora hacking it. Still, you don’t need to have done my ultimate easy pandora method to do this. This process has nothing to do with pandora, it’s completely different, so no pandora memory stick or battery are needed.
This update works for both slim and phats, and many other firmwares, not only from 3.71 M33 – though you must come from a cfw, and higher than 3.52-3 M33.
Watch in High Quality, and read the FAQ for questions!!

Note II: may want to backup your gamesave files, as some people have reported that upgrading to 5.00m33-6 may lose your game savefiles (weird rare bug). Still, even if you back up the savefile, it’s not sure that it can be loaded. But again, this is a rare weird case that some people are getting.
1) What firmware should I have for this?
- 3.52 m33-3 or higher; MUST be custom firmware (from a hacker)
2) My PSP is slim! What do I need?
- You only need the 5.00 Sony firmware and the 5.00 m33-6 installer, your PSP and the newer ones CAN’T run the 1.5 kernel add-on, only the phat PSP can. More explanation in next question…
2.5) What’s the 1.5 kernel thing?
- It’s a way that the PSP reads the applications. That’s why if you put an application based on the 1.5 on a psp without that kernel, the PSP won’t be able to read it. It’s really optional to have it cause nowadays most applications are compatible with both 1.5 and 5.00 kernels.
The reason why phat PSPs can have the 1.5 kernel and the other ones can’t is because the phat PSP’s original firmware was 1.5, so it kinda has it build up in it, while the others started at 3.10 or something.
3) Do I need anything related to pandora? battery, memory stick, wtvr?
- NOooo! This has nothing to do with it
4) What is the difference between the Gen firmwares and the M33 firmwares?
- The m33 firmwares were created by Dark_Alex, probably the best PSP hacker there is. His latest firmware is 5.00 m33-6, and it’s kinda outdated by now. The Gen firmware is created by another hacker, and it has all the functionalities as the m33 firmwares and a little more. Still, the 5.50 Gen firmware doesn’t come with the 1.50 kernel compatibility (for phat psps)
5) Do the latest games work here?
- Yes, but for most you’ll need to hack the game. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kZJzf6bWT
6) It says Game Cannot be Started or it gives me an error while loading!?
- Either: your PSP is not hacked or you put the folders in the wrong place.
7) Does this update erase my files from my memory stick or anything? And can I delete the updater after its installation?
- The update doesn’t touch your memory stick! All your files in it will still be there after the update! And yes, you can delete the updater and its files after the installation
If needed!! Remove ipl error
