This tutorial is for those who got their psp fully bricked and also for those with formatting flash0 or flash1 problem.

so now for the unbricking part:
1. first of all get any device like sony handy cams, memory card reader, cell phones etc.which is capable of holding memory sticks.
2.put the memory stick inside the device and go to usb mode and follow the following tutorial to make the magic memory stick: http://d0846c41.linkbucks.com or http://cba5ea9c.linkbucks.com

or download the new UltraLiteMMs creator by Rain (4.01m33-2) for pc to make the magic memory stick in a easiest way (read the readme.txt for instruction):

3.after making the magic memory stick if you have problem in formatting flash0 or flash1 follow below tutorial step and download this nandtool file:

and if you dont have the format problem just make the magic memory stick and flash the firmware.
4.now you have downloaded it, extract the zip folder and there should be 3 files but we are going to work on nandtool_03_beta1_nousb.elf
5.now rename the nandtool_03_beta1_nousb.elf to backup.elf and go to usb mode and check in your magic memory sticks KD folder and there should be a file called backup.elf
6.now take the backup.elf(nandtool_03_beta1_nousb.elf) and replace it with the backup.elf of the KD folder.
7.now out of usb and insert both the magic memory stick and the pandora battery inside your psp and power on it.
8.now its time for you to follow the video part.

Hai Guis!

This is your favorite guy, Pastor Tom, and this time I’ve made an AWESOME PSP ChickHEN guide.

The reason for me making this guide is simple, none of the other guides I found worked for me.
This is guide ONE of TWO, Guide TWO is here:

This guide is only necessary if you’ve got PSP-2004 with TA-088,v3 or PSP-3000 series and Original Firmware 5.03 or older (If older, then update to 5.03 with the included files), if you’ve got older you can use Pandora’s Battery with Dark Alex 5.0 M33-6.

Who knows the reason why these guides never worked for me, even though I sat 2 hours trying and trying, but anyways..

This guide is compiled from other guides and using this method, you should get your PSP to work with ChickHEN with lesser hazzle..

Here we go:

1) Unpack and copy this package to your memory stick ROOT on before hand :

2) If your PSP isnt already at 5.03, upgrade it, you’ll find the update file already installed to your memory stick after copying the files above.

3) Have a UMD Disc ready, Video or game works fine, insert it into your PSP and boot it up. When the disc autoboots flip open the UMD lid once its started loading.. For Videos its once the play symbol comes up, for games its when the White SONY PSP screen comes up.

4) Go back into the menu, close the lid, let the intro load (the thumbnail preview icon).

5) Go to “Photos”, and then “memory stick”, and now the tricky stuff starts..

6) Push X rapidly, fast, until the folder comes up. Be careful not to open any image.. Cause if you do, you will ruin this process and have to hard restart your PSP and start this guide over.

7) Once youve pushed X rapidly fast, and let the PSP load the thumbnails, push down and up a few times, and if everything went right, your screen will immediately lit up green and reboot.

Go to System Settings and check System Information.. It will say 5.03 ChickHen Rev2.

9) If you cant make it work right away you need to try a couple of more times, and make sure you get all of the points correctly.. It may sound strange, it may even seem illogical, but it worked for me..

10) Now, you can go to Game, and load “CFW Loader”, then choose the first option to start flashing the motherboard.. If either your battery is low or when it asks y ou if you want to continue, push yes..

11) Now, you can go back to System Settings and System information, and you’ll see that you’ve got 5.03 M33.

12) Remember to set UMD ISO MODE to M33 Driver instead of “normal” which is its standard setting. You can do this by pushing the “select” button anywhere in the Sony menu.

13) Also, to take backup of your original UMD games/videos you can set “USB DEVICE” to “UMD DISC”, this will allow the USB to show the contents of the UMD disc as a ISO file. Simply copy it to your computer, set the USB DEVICE back to Memory Stick, setup USB again, and copy the file back to X:/ISO/ .

14) Have fun and yeah, this is not permanent, in any way.. So use “standby” mode when you wanna shut it down, doing this by pushing the power button quick. If you turn it completely off, it will revert to original 5.03. It saves you time to simply use standby mode and keep the battery charged.

UPDATE: the PSP PHAT pandora batter y and magic memory stick work on the slim.
For example if you have a Psp PHAT and have the pandora batter y and magic memory stick you can use that on the slim to make it have the CFW.(P.S the battery will fit the slim just dont try to put the battery all the way in just get the tip in were the power goes into the psp.)

MMS Summary:
Then connect your psp into the computer using USB Mode make sure the memory card that you want to make into the MMS is inside the PSP Know Extract the files to your desktop open up the folder then you will see 3 files. Copy the folder named Pandora.then paste it to your C Drive. Then go to The CMD By Going To run Then Type CMD. when on CMD type in “CD..” Two times Hit ENTER. no quotes on anything.then type in “CD Pandora” Hit ENTER.The type in “CD mspformat” Hit ENTER.Then Type in “mspformat (and your psp drive letter here.)”.The mspformat is a special format that formats your psp like no other format.also the mspformat might not work on windows vista. it did NOT work on my Vista But it DID work on my XP.
Ok after you type that in Hit Enter It should say are you want to format Hit Y And ENTER to format it should say format successful or something like that if it says write error it didn’t work This Might happen If your Running Vista. In my Video it said that format wasn’t necessary Because i already did this. After you Format the psp Drive go back to the folder with the 3 files and go to Pandoras Files premade Folder and copy all the files in the folder and paste them to the PSP drive(the drive should be Empty).
after your done pasting the files to the PSP drive got back to the folder with the 3 files and go to the Pandora’s GUI 1.5 folder and install the Pandora’s GUI 1.5 after you install it Click on the short cut for GUI that should of installed into your Desktop (you might have to run as administrator) for it to work when you run the GUI 1.5 Program Choose the Drive Letter of your PSP. Then ONLY click on Write IPL It Should Say Write Complete And Then Very IMPORTANT First Take out your memory stick THEN Disconnect From USB MODE. And Know your Done With The MMS.

6. Insert the Memory Stick into the PSP, and start it up.
7. On the XMB Menu, Go to Game/ Memory Stick/ Update.
(You need to have firmware 5.03, Otherwise this won’t work)
8. On the XMB Menu, Go to Photo/ Memory Stick/ ChickHEN R2.
This may take several tries but should eventualy get a green flash then your PSP will restart.
9. Go to System Settings and check your firmware, You should now have 5.03 ChickHEN R2
